We’re beginning the new year by simplifying our lives, and finding simple pleasure in all of our senses. Music is such an integral part of our experience here in the desert. A drive through the park is not complete without playing Led Zeppelin’s ‘When the Levee Breaks’, just as watching our morning coffee drip will never be the same without Velvet Underground’s ‘Venus in Furs’.
Music can bring us together just as well as it can enhance the experience of being alone. It’s a powerful thing. We keep a collection of records in all of our houses for just this reason, and love hearing your stories of singing along, or finding peace in drawing to the music.
