Feeling Honored Around Here

It’s been an amazing week full of love for some spaces that Rich and I have designed together. The Joshua Tree House was featured on Apartment Therapy, Dot & Bo, Refinery29, Gal Meets Glam, and Uncrate… all in one week! I know I already kind of said that, but whoa. We also had our SF apartment featured on Apartment Therapy! An exciting week for us to say the least.

We absolutely love designing spaces because the experiences within them can be so strong. The goal of a wonderful experience gives us great purpose to design with. For example, rather than starting with the idea of a hanging chair because they’re cool, we like to start with questions like: “Which part of this room gets morning sun? Ok, let’s put a hanging chair there. What else would make a morning special? How about some coffee… and some relaxing music. Ok – a chemex in the kitchen with local coffee beans and a record player near the hanging chair.” Now there’s an experience we’re excited about.

Sara your spaces are gorgeous! I’m
In love with the worn concrete pink floors- please advise is it Behr concrete paint? Would love to know what shade as it adds such warmth..living in the Australian desert I’m thinking of painting my boring grey concrete..
